A bit of trouble on the Border of the Empire translates into a society of cybernetic organisms intent on the obliteration of all mankind. And after a cosmic battle of destruction when Evangelon stops their advance, they go back in time to the beginning of his creation to destroy him before he was ever born. Because without Evangelon's protection, the human race is easy prey. And all they have to do is wipe out the basic components that Evangelon came from--the superheroes of the past! In the future Slayers are trained by the Watchers to protect the world. They are police officers and guardians, and none of them have a choice about their fate once they are chosen, though a few do try to escape what's meant to be. When any girl "pulls a runner," the Watch-Master Dawn Summers is sent to retrieve them. Though this time, the girl has managed to pierce the time-space barrier and escape into another universe. But she will be brought back to face justice for her crimes against the multiverse.

Summary: "Essays" on various topics all relating to superheroes and the lives they live. The Flash's shoes, Supergirl's lack of a fan base, campy Batman versus broody Batman, Superman's glasses, Batgirl's lameness, the obvious abuse of Dick Grayson, etc. (And that "etc." really just says it all.)

Supposed to be funny, some of them might not be as amusing as I think they are, but I still couldn't help myself. Full of my own crapulence, there was no way I could ever resist writing The Superhero Files.
